Hello,
Another Friday night has arrived on my doorstep and I am ready to snuggle in. The outside hum of traffic and dog at my feet makes my Friday night complete.
I am going to be doing my newsletter a little differently from now on. I won’t be including links to my Medium articles so much. So, if you want to follow me there please do.
My articles on Medium are a little more polished and researched. There are a million things to consider when publishing there whereas my newsletter will be more informal. I get to do anything I want for the week: share a playlist, share a recipe, tell you about my favorite popcorn - whatever! If you are not a member of Medium, you get access to 3 articles a month for free, beyond that it is $5.00 a month or $50/year and you get access to some amazing writers…not just me.
Thinking back on the week that is coming to a close and - it’s been good. Some good work has been accomplished and some good zone-out time included as well. We need a balance of both, don’t we?
On Sunday afternoon I binged watched Ted Lasso on Apple TV. It’s a fish-out-of-water comedy about an American football coach that takes a job in England coaching soccer. He knows nothing about soccer. But it’s also about great leadership. Lasso is a fantastic coach and a great leader. He is selfless and takes on the worst verbal punishment from the fans. But he is okay with it because he is more concerned with the well-being of the team. It’s great. It’s also easy, fun comedy so it’s a nice break from anything you’ve got heavy going on.
Balance out your weekend, yah? Get some work done around the house and then kick your feet up with some iced tea. Watch the clouds. Read a book. Be lazy. Whatever.
Here’s to another weekend, friends. May it be everything you hoped it would be.
Take care & safe travels,
Kit
