Hey People,
I quit my job this week!
No, I don’t hate my job. No, I don’t want to burn it down and give everyone the middle finger. It’s not that dramatic at all.
I love the team I work with, so quitting was quite difficult. I knew I had to do it, but the actual doing it was really tough.
I thought I might never stop crying, but I did. There is always an end if you allow yourself to move through whatever you’re feeling.
Many people have reached out and let me know that I will be fine. That’s nice of them, and I know that. I’m not sad because I’m worried; sometimes, it’s just hard to say goodbye to stuff you love. You’re grateful for the experience.
I also know that whatever I do next, I will smash it! How do I know? Because if I can work in retail for twenty-four years, I can do anything!
So, what now?
I’m going to freelance write full-time. I’ve been working on some cool projects, and I can’t wait to see what comes next! The best part? I get to choose. I’ve spent my life working for someone else, implementing all their rules and regulations. I can’t wait to decide to work on whatever I want!
Got a project? Hit me up.
For the next two weeks, I’ll say goodbye to all my retail people. Each day gets a little easier. Then I’ll finish my website and work on projects I love.
This newsletter will continue, and I’m more excited about it than ever! I listen to new music every day and compile great playlists that I will share with you. We’ve been making some great food, too, so I will pass along winning recipes.
I’d also like to make doing less a focus for this year and this newsletter.
Do less. Be okay with it. My goal is not to be in a hurry. Slow down; you’re doing fine. Just exist as a human, would you?
Medium Articles
These are the articles I published on Medium in the past week.
I Quit My Job. I Think I’m Going to Puke.
Blockster Content
I am doing some freelance work for Blockster.com. This is a new website devoted to cryptocurrency, which will include articles and have a social media aspect. They are still in a beta format but are getting things rolling, including articles. They have a wait-list of over 400K people for the launch this year!
It’s been quite a roller coaster for me getting used to this environment, and I’m having a blast! You can check out the two articles they have published below.
MakerDAO - Ethereum’s Best DeFi Platform?
Bitcoin is Bad for the Environment…or Is It?
It’s been an emotional week. One minute I’m crying because I’m leaving my team; the next minute, I’m dancing around my kitchen because my crypto content finally published - you know, the usual.
I hope you have a fantastic weekend! Take it easy, put your feet up, relax with your favorite drink. Get outside (weather permitting). Pet your pets. Hug your family (if you want to). Whatever.
Take care, and I’ll see you next week.
Peace,
Kit
Congrats on the big life change! So glad the newsletter will continue. Still dancing to the music mix from last week.
Congratulations, this is exciting and I'm happy for you.
