The Remembrance Day symbolism of the poppy started with a poem written by a World War I brigade surgeon who was struck by the sight of the red flowers growing on a ravaged battlefield. - Sarah Pruitt. History.com
Dear Travelers,
Memorial Day weekend is upon us. It almost doesn’t feel real. Some of my sales associates are graduating, getting ready to go off to college, and working on their tans. The days are long and getting warmer.
I will quickly link two articles I published this week because I am bleary-eyed tired, not feeling super creative, and I have to be at work at 7am tomorrow. I know you understand. When you read my articles on Medium, please clap, leave a comment, or both. The interaction will help push my content further in the algorithm and help my writing get seen by more people. And if you haven’t already, sign up to follow me there.
