The beauty of the in-person human connection is never more clearly demonstrated and the callousness of corporate more truly shown despicable than the story you outlined here.
Corporate-speak. Their “reasoning” is BS. Some retailers removed petite departments from their brick and mortar locations, so online only (I’m petite; very frustrating!)
If corporations were comprised of mostly women, and/or sizing were consistent across the industry (like in menswear), we wouldn’t have to bring three sizes of the same design into the fitting room.
I worked retail (Macy’s, bridal, other retailers, for 20+ yrs. So yeah, I call bull sh*t.
